Show Final Qualifying Round Rolled in Bowl-fl-Round Completed; Holiday Classic to Open Winners in the final qualiflng round of the "Bowl-A-Round Hawaii" Ha-waii" tournament were announced announc-ed today by Humbert Rosenberg, Cedar Bowling Lanes manager. In the A division Wayne Magg, St. George, rolled a 633 handicap to win $40 cash and a berth in the Bij Ten Roll-Off. Gordon Twitchell won $30 with a 630 handicap series. In the B division Bill Dover won $40 with a 607 handicap series. Vern Gras won $20 and a berth in the Big Ten Roll-off with a 602 series. C division winner was Anton Lambert, who won $40 with a 540 handicap series and Harold Boyce won $20 with a 526 series. The final Big Ten Roll-off will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Cedar Bowling Lanes with the top ten bowlers in each division di-vision competing for two places in the area finals to be held January 25 and 26. The winner of the area finals will receive an expense paid vacation for five days in Hawaii. In the area finals 26 Bowlers will be competing com-peting for eight awards. Gordon Twitchell, Bill Dover, George Petty, Anton Lambert and Harold Boyce will not be competing in the Big Ten Roll-off Roll-off as they have already qualified quali-fied for the area finals. Rosenberg announces that the Holiday Ragtime Classic will start Saturday at the Cedar Bow-I Bow-I ling Lanes.' This tournament is sponsored by the Iron County ; Bowling Association and is on a handicap basis wit'i the exception excep-tion of the All Events. There will be team, doubles and singles 1 events and squads will be bowled bowl-ed any time the lanes are avail- " able. |
