Show Agreements on Reciprocal Licensing On Lake Powell Reached by Utah, Arizona Officials Agreements allowing for the reciprocal licensing of Utah and Arizona anglers on Lake Powell and Wyoming and Utah anglers on Flaming Gorge will go into effect ef-fect January 1, 1961, it is announced an-nounced by the Department of Fish and Game. On Lake Powell, licensed Utali anglers will be able to fish the entire reservoir with their regular regu-lar license and upon payment of a $2.00 fee will also be entitled to fish in certain waters downstream down-stream below the dam. Arizona anglers, under terms of the agreement, may fish Lake Powell on their regular Arizona license with the addition of a $2.00 stamp. Lake Powell is curently listed as year-round open water and may be fished at any time. In addition children under the age of 14 years, regardless of the state of residence, shall be permitted per-mitted to fish Lake Powell and the Colorado River between the Glen Canyon Dam and the Marble Canyon damsite or dam without a fishing license and without a Special Use Permit Arizona Special Use Permits will be $2 for Utah residents ami $3 for Utah non-residents, antl Utah Special Use Permits will be $2 for Arizona residents arid $3 for Arizona non-residents. ' Similar arrangements hve I been made between Wyoming and Ulah regarding Flaming: Gorge, however, it wiU not be open on a year round basis until 'January 1, 1964. |
