PHS Annual Christmas Program Set Tonight Final rehearsals for the Christmas Christ-mas program which Is being put on tonight, Thursday, by the music mu-sic department of the Parowan High School have been held and last minute preparations for the event are under way says Karl G. Thurber, Instructor. The program will start at 8 p. I m., Mr. Thurber states and will be held In the high school gymnasium. gym-nasium. It will Include the following fol-lowing numbers from these student stu-dent groups: Seventh grade "O Lord Most Holy," as a chorus Eighth grade "What Child Is . This," and the combined 7th and . ' 8th grades will sing "Silver Bells." The mixed chorus, consisting of Juniors and seniors with the sophomore girls, will sing "While by My Sheep," an echo carol, and with the eighth grade will sing "O Come, O Come Emmanuel." The girls' chorus, composed of Junior, senior and ninth grade girls will sing "The Carol of the Bells," as Its special number, and will Join the mixed chorus In "We Wish Vou a Merry Christmas." Christ-mas." All of the singing groups will come together to sing "O Come All Ye Faithful," and "Silent "Si-lent Night" The latter number will be accompanied by the Junior Jun-ior band which will also play "Celebration," an arrangement of holiday tunes for young bands. Other special numbers will Include In-clude a soprano solo "Star of the East." by Sharon Rowley, "Winter "Win-ter Wonderland," by the sophomore sopho-more sextette, and possibly a vlo- I lln solo by Ralph Marsden. It Is not know whether or not he can j be here at this time. The couple furnishing the theme and correlation will be Mr. and Mrs. Webster Bettrldge, and Max Dalley will be the narrator. nar-rator. Programs will be distributed at the door and the public Is invited to attend, free of charge. |
