Show Cedar City Club Rated Tops At National Meet ATLANTA, GA. . (Special) The Cedar City Junior Chamber of Commerce has been rated one of the best in the United States in the field of extension, it was announced today at the 35th annual an-nual convention of the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce. Com-merce. The local organization was awarded third place in competition compe-tition with Jaycee groups in cities cit-ies of the "up to 10,000" population popula-tion category. Awards were made on the basis of service to the c6mmunity and the part that member Jaycees played In each activity. The first extension was made at Beaver and the second for the year was made at Kanab. Since the national Judging, however, how-ever, a third club has been organized or-ganized at Milfqrd, he Indicated. More than 1,500 other civic programs pro-grams of Junor Chambers of Commerce In the United States were entered In this year's awards contest. The award presentations pre-sentations were made Tuesday before nearly 8,000 Jaycee delegates dele-gates meeting In the municipal auditorium at Atlanta. National Jaycee officers for the coming year will be elected on Thursday by the delegates. |
