Show Election Rites Held for Order Of Eastern Star Mrs. Fred La Frentz was installed in-stalled as worthy matron of the Cedar City Chapter 20, Order of Eastern Star. Installation ceremonies cere-monies were conducted at the Masonic Temple Monday evening by Mrs. Verna House, Ogden, worthy grand matron for Utah. The ceremonies were conduct ed at the Masonic Temple following fol-lowing a banquet at El Escalante Escal-ante Hotel. Assisting Mrs. House were Mrs. Gertrude Nesbitt, Salt Lake City, grand marshal; Mrs. Charlotte B. Stone, Ogden, grand chaplain, and Floyd Eyman, Cedar City, acting grand worthy patron. Other elective officers installed were R. L. Wahl, worthy patron; Mrs. Ernest Boyns, and Clayton S. Lewis, associate matron and associate patron; Mrs. R. L. Wahl, conductress; Mrs. Harold Wycoll, associate conductress; Mrs. Otto Junge, secretary, and Mrs. Lewis Guthiel, treasurer. Appointive officers installed were Mrs. Howard Mace, Ada; Mrs. Frank Anderson, Ruth; Mrs. Criss Mason, Esther; Mrs. Freeman Free-man Orr, Electa; Mrs. Verna Leigh, marshal; Mrs. Carl Boyns, warder; Mrs. Karl Gardner, chaplain chap-lain ;Howard Mace, organist; Fred LaFrentz, sentinel. Miss Carlyn Endsley presented two vocal selections, accompanied accompan-ied by Howard Mace at the piano. pia-no. Following the ceremonies a social was held with Mrs. Wahl assisted by Mrs. Wycoff and Mrs. Roy Lundgren co-hostesses to the members and guests of the chapter. |
