Show School Board Election Drawing Near Everything is in readiness for the School Board election to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, to name a member of the boa id from District No. 1 for a five-year five-year term. The term of Samuel Abbott, president of the board, expires on Dee. 3L and his successor suc-cessor will be named at the Dec. 2 election. , Mr. Abbott, who resides in Paragonah Par-agonah and has served on I he board for 20 years, is a candidate for re-election, and will oppose j Chester Whitclaw of Fscalan'.e I Valley in the election, the only 'other candidate placed in nomination. nom-ination. The district include all !of Iron County outside the city limits of Cedar City and Parowan. Paro-wan. There are only about 000 regiMere-d voters in the district, but it is expected that a large, per cent of them will cast their ballots with the two candidates from two distinctly separate areas seeking the position on the board. Howard Dalley, clerk of the Hoard of Education, who is charged with the responsibility of conducing the election, announces an-nounces that polling places in the nine voting districts of the area have been arranged, and that throe judges in each district dis-trict have been named, with tlio exception of one judge in two different districts.
