Show Two Beryl 4-H Fair Winners Enter National Contest Dewey Olds and Carl Holland, two young 4-H Club membeis from Beryl, Utah will leave Dec. 5 for Tulsa, Okla., to participate in a national Junior Vegetable Growers Association demonstration demonstra-tion contest, it was announced today by the Iron County Extension Exten-sion Service. The two 4-H lads were the winners win-ners of the Iron County Fair demonstration dem-onstration contest and received further recognition when they captured first place in the state fair contest. The two livestock 4-H Club members have a rattier unique demonstration in that It deals with soil while they are members mem-bers of a livestock club. Besides the participation in the county and state fairs the two lads have given demonstrations all over the southern Utah counties, coun-ties, They have met with the Cedai City Rotary Club, they have given their demonstration before the Soil Conservation district dis-trict supervisors of Iron County and Thursday, Dec. 3 they will give the demonstration at the annual convention of State Soil Conservation Districts at St. George. The trip to the national convention con-vention will be sponsored by the N'iVGA, and Stephen L. Brower, Iron County extension agent, and 'Dr. Milton Anderson, vegetable icrop specialist from the Utah ! Stale Agricultural College. |
