Show Top Piano Students To Present Special June 2 Recital Mrs. Lehi M. Jones announced early this week that a special recital for four of her top students stu-dents would be given to a group of friends and relatives on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, June 2, at her home. Participating in the recital will be the Misses Jeanlne Bauer, Re-nee Re-nee Gentry, Diane Cooley and Marilyn Halversen. All are advanced ad-vanced students. The recital program will be aa follows: Duet, "Polish Dance," by Scharwenka, Bauer and Gentry; Gen-try; "Sonata in A" by Mozart, Cooley; "Prelude" by Signe Lund Skabo and "Prelude," opus 28, No. 15 by Chopin, Gentry. "Sonata (Moonlight)" by Beethoven, Bee-thoven, Presto Agito movement, Halversen; "Valse Styrlenne' by Wollenhaupt and "Romance in F Sharp Major" by Schumann, Bauer; duet, "The Harmonious Blacksmith" by Dandel, Halversen Halver-sen and Cooley. "Valse in E Minor" by Chopin and "Rondo Capriccioso" by Mendelssohn, Men-delssohn, Cooley; "Dance Negre" by Cyril Scott, Bauer; "Nocturne," "Noc-turne," opus 9, No. 2, and "Polonaise," "Pol-onaise," opus 40, No. 1, by Chopin, Cho-pin, Halversen. Miss Fay Frahske, daughter of! Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Frahske of Lund, will be graduated from the college of Saint Mary-of-the Wasatch, Salt Lake City, on Sunday, Sun-day, May 30 The degree conferred on Miss Frahske will be that of bachelor of science, with a major in nurs-ing nurs-ing and a minor in education. |
