PETTY After about 40 years of dental practice in Cedar City, Dr. Frank II. Petty will retire from practice on June 1. Taking over the practice prac-tice with be Dr. Rodney Brown, a resident of Cedar City, who has been practicing in Lewiston, Utah, since graduating from Northwestern University two years ago. Dr. Petty graduated from the old Branch Normal School in 190G, and later attended Brigham Young University in Provo and received his bachelor of science degree from the Utah State Agricultural Agri-cultural College. He received his DDS from University of Southern South-ern California in 1915 and has practiced in Cedar City since that time. After retirement, Dr. Petty plans to spend the summers in Cedar Citv with most of his time during the winter months being spent in Van Nuys, Calif., where he has real estate interests. He owns a business block with six suites of business offices in the California city at the present time, and has contracted for the construction of another office building, this one housing nine suites of offices. In announcing his retirement, Dr. Petty said "I wish to extend my thanks to the good people of Cedar City, the surrounding area of Southern Utah and Nevada for the fine support I have received re-ceived during my practice. I have always loved my work and it has been a pleasure to serve you in a crusade for better health." He states that he feels that he is leaving his dental practice prac-tice in good hands in being replaced re-placed by young Dr. Brown. "It is gratifying to me to have him take over as my successor." Dr. Petty said. |
