Show Coal Company Ends 37 Years of Service in Cedar The Macfarlane Hot Coal company com-pany ended about 37 years of service to the people of Cedar City at the end of 1951, the business bus-iness having been sold to the Tucker Coal company. The mine will be operated under the name of Koal Krcek Coal company, and will be managed by Grant Tucker. Tuck-er. At the close of business on Dec. 31, Neil K. Boyter, who has operated the Macfarlane Hot Coal company since 1915, expressed his appreciation and thanks for the patronage and support he and the Macfarlane family had enjoyed over many years in the business. "We have enjoyed many ma-ny pleasant dealings with the people of Cedar City and surrounding sur-rounding towns in the years we have operated the business," he said, "and want to thank everyone every-one for their patronage and co- operation." The coal business was first operated op-erated by Kenneth Macfarlane, father-in-law of Mr. Boyter, in partnership with Heber C. Jensen. Following Mr. Jensen's death, Mr. Macfarlane ojierated the business until his death. Mrs. Macfarlane then continued to operate the business until 1945, when Mr. Bovter took over the operation. |
