Show Hi Schools Open Dixie District Basketball Race High school basketball teams of the Dixie division of Region six will open the 1952 race Friday Fri-day night with three games. From then until Feb. 29, the six teams of the district will pair off in the battle for first place and a berth in the state tournament, and second place, which earns a place in a play-off with the runner-up in the Millard district for the third team to enter the state meet from Region six. The Cedar high school Red-men Red-men will journey to Kanab Friday Fri-day night to open their bid for the title in a game with the Kanab Ka-nab Cowboys. The Redmen, on the basis of pre-season games should be favored to win the game, but Coach Alma Garrett's squad has been riddled with attacks at-tacks of flu and the Cowboys should be in a good position to stage an upset. Webster and Lawrence Law-rence Ashdown will be ready for action although some of them will not be in the best condition. condi-tion.
