Show All-Stars Named, Five Players Presented Awards Two members , of the Branch Agricultural college basketball team, winners of the second annual an-nual Bronpo Invitational tournament, tourna-ment, were placed on the all-star team in balloting at the close of the tournament Saturday night.. Ricks, Compton and Chaf-fey, Chaf-fey, placed one man each on the all-star squad. Bob Hortin, Bronco captain, who played brilliantly on defense de-fense and in the role of play-maker play-maker for the champions, and who had a tremendously steadying steady-ing influence on his squad was one of the Broncos to be honored. Don Marshall who was third highest scorer in the tournament and was exceptionally strong on the bankboards throughout the meet, was the second BAC player named. I Lot Christensen, towering center cen-ter for the Ricks Vikings, named as a member of the five, was perhaps per-haps the outstanding player in the meet. He not only scored 61 points, 12 more than his nearest rival, but was exceptionally valuable val-uable to his team by covering both bankboards sensationally. The other two members of the squad, Dick Schwendinger of Chaffey, and Walt Burleson of Compton, were named because of their play-making ability and the way they sparked and stead-led stead-led their teams. Both were small, and exceptionally fast, and seldom sel-dom have the fans seen two more consistent players or better ball hawks than these two speedsters.
