Show Lyle Barton Returns To Duty With Navy Lyle Barton, who in April returned re-turned home after over eight years of service with the United States Navy, left Tuesday to re-enlist re-enlist for additional service. Mr. Barton, who began his service during World War II, has served eight years and eight months with the Navy before being be-ing released at the end of his last tour of duty, now plans to make the Navy his career. He has been out of the service for just 90 days, and by re-enlisting at this time he will return to service at the rank he held upon his release, Diesel Engineer 1c. He reported at Salt Lake City Wednesday and will be sent to San Francisco for assignment. His wife and daughter will remain re-main in Cedar City until he is permanently assigned. Mr. Barton has spent much time in the Pacific during his 8 years of service, and participated in considerable combat duty dur-lng dur-lng World war II. |
