Show City Accepts Bid Of Peerless Co. For Pump and Motor The City Council in a special meeting Monday night accepted the bid of the Peerless Motor company for furnishing a pump and motor for the new well recently re-cently drilled in the Enoch area. The pump and motor will be Installed at the new well by the time the pipe line from the well to the city culinary water system sys-tem is complete, according to city officials. The order for the pump and motor, in accordance with the company bid, has already al-ready been placed through Fred Perry, local representative. The Peerless company bid was for furnishing the pump, a 200 horsepower motor, with starter, for a total cost, of $8,747.50. Laying of the pipe line from the well to the culinary system is progressing very satisfactorily the officials report. The trench digging is almost complete, and the laying and welding of the pipe is well under way. The trenching and welding is under contract with the city delivering deliver-ing the pipe at trench side. The trench digger has also contracted contract-ed for refilling, but this will not be done until after the pipe is all laid and tests have been made. |
