GLADE Cafe at Cedar Municipal Airport Opens, Supernaw Assumes Three-Year Lease f The Airport Cafe, located in the administration building at the .municipal airport was officially of-ficially opened Friday evening, and will be open regularly for business from 5 to 11:30 p. m. each evening except Mondays. The new cafe Is to be operated operat-ed by Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Su-pernaw, Su-pernaw, who have been active in the cafe and restaurant business busi-ness in this area for a number of years. They came to Cedar City to take over the business here, from Kanab, where they had been engaged in recent months. The purpose of the cafe Is to provide meal service for air travelers, tra-velers, however, the cafe is expected ex-pected to cater to much local trade, particularly for dinners and special gatherings. Mr. and Mrs. Supernaw have leased the cafe for a period of three years, according to City Manager Thomas Thorsen. Under the lease the City has equipped the kitchen and dining room at an approximate cost of $3,000.00, which includes chairs and tables for the dining room, and the ranges. Ice box and so on in the kitchen. The lease provides pro-vides that the operators will pay no rent during the first year of operation, but will be responsible responsi-ble for the cost of utility services, ser-vices, power, lights, telephone, and heat and for maintenance of equipment. After the first year the operator oper-ator will pay, In addition to the utility costs, a rent fee of ZVr of his gross sales. At the end of the three years a new lease will be negotiated between the city and the operator on a basis of the first three year's of business. |
