Show Associated Civic Clubs Set Meeting for Saturday The next meeting of the Associated Asso-ciated Civic Clubs of Southern and Eastern Utah will be held at Manti on Saturday, June 30, in the Manti city hall, under the sponsorship of the Manti Commercial club. An executive board meeting jwill be held at 10.30 a. m., followed fol-lowed by an open meeting beginning be-ginning at 2 p. m., to which the public is invited to attend. Arrangements Ar-rangements for the meeting are under the direction of Ellis Johnson, John-son, president of the Manti Commercial Com-mercial club. Following committee reports, the advertising committee will present a dummy copy of an advertising ad-vertising folder which will be printed for wide distribution, according ac-cording to E. J. Duggan, office secretary of the club. Cecil Jacobsen, representing the Bureau of Reclamation, will outline the Main Stem Colora-da Colora-da River projects, which is the proposed development of Joe's Valley, Gooseberry, Central Utah and other reclamation projects. Field secretary of the club, T. V. Jensen, will report on his trip to Washington, concerning roads and monuments and certain phases of the water program. Also attending the meeting will be Kingsley E. Clawson, president of the Utah Manufacturers Manufac-turers association, and Ames K. Bagley, executive secretary of the organization. Mr. Clawson will be the speaker at the banquet to be held at 7 p. m. to round out ; the day's activities. Following the afternoon session, ses-sion, a conducted tour has been arranged to the Carlisle Manufacturing Manu-facturing plant and the hatcheries hatcher-ies around Manti. |
