Show Unexpected Call Received for Inductees in July Although no call for inductees under selective service had been expected during July and August, Aug-ust, the Iron county selective service ser-vice hoard has received a call for two men to report in July. Because of th? new selective service law, which provides fur the induction of 18! -year-old mn and liberalizes the physical and mental standards required and changes deferment regulations, regula-tions, it was expected that no calls would be made until the reclassification could be made. E. B. Dalley. clerk of the board, states that the board is awaiting await-ing detailed instructions on reclassification re-classification regulations. L'nder the new law older men who have been reclassified, sucn as married men, will be called before the younger men are inducted. in-ducted. Mr. Dalley reports that the board must provide two men for induction on- July 16, and states that this will not necessarily mean that younger men will have to fill the quota. The board has a pool of men who have passed physical examinations, and it Is expected that the two to be called in July will be men who have been deferred while attending school. |
