Show Local People Attend Lessing Golden Wedding Fete Mr. and Mrs. LaN'oir Jones and Clark Showalter of Cedar City joined with the Lessing family of Beaver on June 19 in celebrating cele-brating the Golden Wedding anniversary an-niversary of Mrs. Jones' parents, Mr. and and Mrs. Isadore Lessing. Les-sing. Married in Beaver on June 19. 1901, Mr. and Mrs. Lessing have resided in Beaver ever since, with the exception of five years. All immediate members of the family were present for the anniversary, an-niversary, including the five living liv-ing children and 10 grandchildren. grandchil-dren. Members of the immediate immedi-ate family present were the following: fol-lowing: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lessing Les-sing and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lessing and family of Beaver; Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Cook, and Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Fowler of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. LaNoir Jones and family, fam-ily, and Clark Showalter of Cedar Ce-dar City; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lessing Cook of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Garth L. Showalter Sho-walter of Cedar City. Mr. Lessing was born in Min-ersvllle Min-ersvllle on Mar. 24, 1877. a son of Louis and Hannah Happeck Lessing. He has been active In mining development in the Beaver Bea-ver area, and for several years operated a confectionery business busi-ness in Beaver. He was post master of Beaver for eight years, and served two years on the Beaver Bea-ver city council. A native of Beaver, Mrs. Hulda Bonn Lessing was born there on March 3, 1879, a daughter of Joseph and Sussetta Bonnelli Bohn. |
