Show AFL Construction Workers, Laborers Union Elect New Officers; Appoint Delegates Delegates to the state convention conven-tion and new officers of the local lo-cal of 823 of the Construction Workers and Laborers Union. AFL, were elected at a meeting held last week in Cedar City, according to Carl Hazel secretary. secre-tary. LeRoy Dix. Cedar City, was named president of the local, succeeding Warren Judd of Ka-nab. Ka-nab. Mr. Judd was elected to the post of vice president of the local. In addition, Mr. Judd and Mr. Hazel were named delegates to the district council and to the state convention of the Utah Federation Fed-eration of Labor which is to be held in Cedar City on August 20, 21 and 22. Mr. Hazel, who is the local convention chairman, will represent the local at the international inter-national convention in Chicago in October. Also elected to office in the local lo-cal besides Mr. Dix and Mr. Judd were: Mr. Hazel, re elected secretary-treasurer; Dee Adams, Kanat). corresponding secretary, and Grant Jones, Paragonah, sergeant-at-arms. Named trustees were E. L. Lamoreaux, Paragonah; Lelmar , Davis, Cedar City, and Carmen A. 1 Rollins, Parowan, while Melvin I Olds, Rex Leigh, Cedar City, and Oliver W. Phillips.
