Show All Practical Nurses Urged to Secure State License Now Attorney General, Grover A. Giles, has just released an official of-ficial opinion clarifying the law regulating the licensure of Practical Prac-tical nurses. According to his ruling, rul-ing, all except a few exempt nurses in the state, who desire to practice as Practical Nurses after July 1, 1919, must be licensed. li-censed. I The Bureau of Home Nursing, a state organization of Practical ! Nurses urges all practical nurs-j nurs-j es in Utah to apply for licenses I without delay. I The Attorney General ruled, that a practical nurse who has proof of reasonable experience j as a practical nurse for five years Immediately prior to July 1, 1917 j may be able to qualify for a 11-; 11-; cense without examination, if application ap-plication is submitted prior to July 1, 1919. The Bureau of Home Nursing emphases the importance of having hav-ing all qualified practical nurses nurs-es obtain a license under the waiver provision of the present law. Nurses concerned, may obtain ob-tain an application for license by calling or writing to Rena B. Loomis, head of registration department, de-partment, Bureau of Business Regulation, and requesting application appli-cation forms be mailed to their address. The Bureau of Home Nursing, 137 North West Temple, Salt Lake City, will assist qualified applicants in obtaining or filling out the applications, and will be glad to furnish further information infor-mation or copies of the license law, through the cooperation of the Department of Registration. |
