Show Enterprise Residents Enjoy Busy Holiday Season Enterprise "Something doing every minute" has been the season's sea-son's slogan here during the Christmas holidays. Festivities opened Tuesday, December 21 with a play presented by the MIA drama department, entitled "Dust of the Road". Players were Carl Foster, LaVerde Roberds, Arch Richards and Daniel Jones. The play was directed by Verna Holt. Christmas music furnished by the music department completed com-pleted the evening's entertainment. entertain-ment. Wednesday evening was Grade School night. The kindergarten started things off with Mother Goose (Margie Moyle), opening her great big book and presenting present-ing the various characters who dressed representatively, spoke In turn the different rhymes from a Christmas viewpoint. Then there was a snowman drill, a Christmas angel scene, a realistic realis-tic music box. Christmas fairies and that famous old story of Schrooge done In dramatization. Thursday evening the Primary Association took over and following follow-ing a fine program by the children, child-ren, a very realistic Santa Claus danced on the scene and kept everyone in hysterics while delivering de-livering goodies to the children. A children's dance followed. Saturday night, the Christmas dance proved to be one of the most popular of the year. An old fashioned basket dance was held Wednesday night, Dec. 29, with the whole town turning out to patronize the Ward bishopric, bishop-ric, which was the sponsor. Everyone is looking ahead to the New Year's Eve dance and winter carnival which is being sponsored by the school, and which promises to be the biggest dance of the season. |
