Show Cedar Redmen to Play Parowan Rams On New Year's Eve With a Christmas night basketball bas-ketball game played by the Branch Agricultural college team behind them, sport fans of Cedar City get a chance at another unusual un-usual situation, a New Year's Eve game. This time the game will be played by the high school team, with their traditional rivals, ri-vals, the Parowan high school team, as opponents. The game is only a practice session, but should hold plenty of interest for the fans because the rivalry between the two teams Is always high. Parowan has been moved to the northern division di-vision of Region Six and will not compete with Cedar in league play, therefore this game has been arranged to give fans a chance to see their nighbors from the county seat in action. Coach Quill Allen's Redmen will be favored to win on a basis of games played thus far! this season. However, Coach Ray Walters' Rams have been coming along fast after a poor start, and will give the local team plenty of competition. 1 |
