!w! Sib GIFS America Is Depending On You ! Wartime America is celebrating Mother's Day with a deeper significance this year. Harder almost than the job of the boys on the fighting fronts is the task of the mothers who stay behind to do the waiting, cheering, praying. The women of America are called upon not only to go about their daily rounds of providing home comforts, com-forts, understanding and inspiration they are also the pillars of strength who sew for the Red Cross, raise funds for defense, and cheer the absent boys with letters, let-ters, visits, gifts and the homemade cakes and cookies they miss so much!' That they accept these tasks with courageous hearts and ready cheerfulness cheerful-ness demands the utmost honor we can do them. May 10th is set aside for Mothers' Day this year one day in which to show our own and all mothers some measure of appreciation for the steadfast devotion they shower upon us year in and year out. Do everything you can to make your mother happy this Mother's Day with gifts, and letters and loving remembrance. Remember, too the mother of some boy in the armed forces who may not be able to greet her himself on that day. Salute the Mothers of America on Sunday, May 10th!
