Show Rotarians Enjoy 1 Panel Discussion The Rotary Club members present pres-ent at tlie club meeting Tuesday enjoyed an unusual program presented pres-ented by the Boys Committee composed com-posed of Stanley Bradshaw and Roice B. Nelson. The feature of the program wrs a panel discussion conducted by nine boys and tliree girls from Mrs. Zoe R. Palmer's Cedar High School hUtory class. The discussion, led by Dale Milne, dealt with the subject of the United States in the present world conflict, the group handling various phases of the discussion dis-cussion with an excellency that proved they are well informed on the war situation and the problems resulting from it. Among the subjects discussed were included the extensiveness of the present conflict, the possibilities possibil-ities of second fronts, where the Axis may attack next, and what the Allies may do to counteract such thrusts, the economic influence of the war on the county, the importance import-ance of the French Navy, what the conditions of the post war period might be, and the part the student of today can play in the problems of the post war period. In addition to the panel discussion discus-sion the Rotarians were entertained entertain-ed by Roy L. Halversen and Frank VanCott, who played several musical numbers. |
