Show WOOL va, COTTON The Army Quartermaster Corps has been making a study of the life of the average soldier's clothing. In home use, that is, not under actual act-ual war conditions, a woolen coat gives 33 months service, woolen trousers 14 V months service, overcoat over-coat 3 years, a woolen shirt 6 months, and service shoes stand 6 to 7 months. While wool is not always claimed claim-ed to outwear cotton, It does develop devel-op that on the average woolen trousers, trous-ers, undershirts and shorts were found to last from 2 to 5 times 1 longer. |
