Show Cedar City io Homor Men Leaving For 4 Armed Service The second public meeting honoring hon-oring the boys who are leaving Cedar City for service with the armed arm-ed forces of our country will be held on Friday, May l, at 8:00 p.m. i'i the public school auditorium. "The meeting this month ls sponsored by the Rotary Club. Under the chairmanship of Stanley Stan-ley Bradsliaw, the following program pro-gram has been arranged: Opening musical selections: high school orchestra, under the direction direc-tion of A. B. Larson. Invocation Rev. Harry C. Wooding. Wood-ing. Presentation of the Colors Home Guard. Salute to the Flag. Group singing of "America." Word of Welcome-Mayor H. H. Lunt. Orchestra number. AddressPerry Egan. Trombone Solo. Reading of the Roll--N. J. Barlow. Bar-low. Ihe National Anthem. Keuring of the Colors. There was a good response of the people of Cedar City to the last meeting that was held in honor of .hc boys who were leaving to serve their country in the cause of freedom. free-dom. It is hoped that the meeting Friday will be attended by all--the least that we can do for these boys who may be called upon to make the supreme sacrifice for us. Your attendance on Friday will be a demonstration of what the President meant when he said: "As we here at home contemplate our own duties, our own responslbllltlts, let us think and think hard of the examples which are being set by our fighting men. They are the United States of America. That is why we must work and sacrifice. It i.s for them, it is for us. It is for victory!" |
