Show 677 Iron County Men Register Under Selective Service A total of 677 Iron County men, between the ages of 45 and 65 years, registered under the Selective Selec-tive Service Act at the Fourth Registration Reg-istration day Monday. These men will not be eligible for military service ser-vice but were registered for occupational oc-cupational service, as a means of drafting all needed men into war industry. They will be requested to fill out occupational questionnaires at an early date. Of the 677 men registered in the county, 398 of them were Cedar City men, with the number registered regist-ered in each of the other towns in the county listed as follows: Paro-wan, Paro-wan, 136; Paragonah, 41; Summit, 11; Kanarra, 23; Enoch, 8; Newcastle, New-castle, 16; Modena, 296 Lund, 5 and Beryl, 10. Occupational questionnaires have been mailed to men registered on February 16, during the week, and it is expected that all of the 446 registrants of Iron County will have received these questionnaires by the middle of next week. An additional sixty selective service ser-vice questionnaires have also been mailed to men in this group during the week, bringing to 200 the number num-ber who have received these questionnaires. |
