Show State Road Workers Do Good Job Of Keeping Roads Open The citizens of Iron County and southern Utah in general owe a vote of thanks to the employees of the I Stale Road Commission for the very fine Job they did In keeping the roads in this section of the state open during the recent heavy snow storm. These employees, ' working from nine to twenty hours dally from January 24 to January 31, cleared Highway 91 from the Beaver Ridge to Ash Creek Bridge, together with several minor roads, totaling over 400 miles of highway Not once during dur-ing that period were roads allowed to become blocked and Impassable to cars. Much credit ls due also to city officials who used all the available equipment In an effort to clear the streets of the city. Between the State Road and the City, an excellent Job of keeping traffic moving was accomplished In spite of the heavy fall of snow durln? that period. |
