Show Cedar City High School News Ey Dorothy Gardner At the basketball game Saturday, the Boys Organization plan to present pre-sent their scoreboard to the student body. This scoreboard has been a project of the Boys Organization for this year and has been supervised by Mr. Pendleton; the work has been done by the boys in the shop classes. This is to be a rather unique scoreboard, and if there was ever a school which needed a good scoreboard score-board Cedar High is one of those schools. The school will owe a vote tti (hanks to the boys. f Since Jim Holyoak left for the service, his position of president of the Boys' Organization was taken by Lnyron Chrlatenson. Good luck in your new Job, Layron, The Home Economics department depart-ment was visited last week by Miss Phillips, teacher training supervisor from the Utah State Agricultural College. Miss Phillips plans to return re-turn again at the end of Miss Isom's training period. " The President's birthday "March of Dimes" campaign is now over, and the school helped by each of the home room classes filling the little specially prepared envelopes with dimes. The school has done rather well on this drive according to all reports. The students are doing their part in the Fourth War Loan Drive. They are gathering up all their war stamjjs arid adding enough to them to purchase bonds. The students have given very good support In the previous bond drives, and lt is certain that they will make a Ml t . . . woe snowing again mis time. The High School has taken the responsibility of writing the monthly month-ly letter for January to all the service men from Iron County. The students are showing a fine Interest Inter-est in this project and are doing a good Job. |
