Show Funeral Services Held For Former Cedar City Lady Funeral services were held Tuesday Tues-day afternoon In the Cedar City L. D. S. 3rd ward chapel for Mrs. Irene Haslarn Sklllman, 38, former Cedar City resident, who died in a Salt Lake City hospital Friday, January 28, of complications following a major operation. Bishop J. Clair Piatt presided. Speakers at the services Included William Condie and F. B. Wood, with brief remarks being given by Bishop Piatt. Musical selections were given as follows: two selections. "Sometime "Some-time Well Understand", and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives", by a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Annete Betensen, Mrs. Zelma Lunt, William Macfarlane, and Ray Cosslett; vocal solo, "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose", by Mr. Cosslett; and a vocal duet, "Come Unto Me", by Mrs. Elaine Southwlch and L. C. Miles. Mrs. Beth Leigh accompanied accom-panied all the singing. The opening prayer was offered by Thomas Munford, and William Hardy pronounced the benediction. The grave was dedicated by William B. Adams. Mrs. Sklllman was born In Cedar City May 21. 1905, a daughter of Joseph E. and Margaret I. Sanders Haslam. She lived In Cedar City most of her life, until she was married mar-ried to Willis L. Sklllman In Las Vegas, Nevada, November 15, 1933. She had lived In Las Vegas and Eureka until going to Salt Lake City .several months (.go. She was an active member of several L. D. S. church organizations. organiza-tions. Surviving are her husband and mother; two daughters. Carol and Yvonne; four brothers, AurePus Has-lam, Has-lam, Cedar City; William 3. Has. lam, Pico, California; Howard Haslam, Has-lam, Sau Francisco, and Kimball Haslam, Burbank, California; and four sisters. Mrs. Reta Connell, Long Beach; Mrs. Iona Stevens, Oak. I land; Mrs. Porcla Rmindy, Klss-Immee, Klss-Immee, Florida; and Mrs. Mclba Evans, Cedar City. |
