At Buffalo and Lancaster receipts ' of Canadian and Virginian cattle are heavy and demand insuf-t insuf-t ' ficient. -Some Ohio and Indiana cattle were turned Westward to ' I , Chicago this week by the big . storm in the east. Added to this, Iowa and Illinois men are j1 ' running short fed cattle to this market. Kansas City has very 1 , favorable conditions to work , under at this time, a decreasing 4 r . supply, and a normal demand. The general cattle market here I is a quarter higher 'this week. I A Missouri shipper sent two loads of 1400 pound steers to St. ; - Louis Monday, where his best v bid was $8.50. He continued his I v journey to Chicago with them, I where he had to take S8.55. In a letter to his commission firm here he says, ' -I am sure I would '-. have done better in Kansas " City." Yearlings at $9.40 and heavy steers at $9.15 stand as high records this week. Colorado Colo-rado cattle are 15 to 30 higher for this week, wifth a firm close today.
