Show TELEPHONE C0ftl PAN Y MS HOME Have Purchased the Property Formerly Occupied by the Royal Bakery By a unanimous vote of its board of directors of Iron County Telephone Go. at the regular monthly meeting last Tuesday, it was decided to purchase the Urie property crnthe west side of Main street," formerly occupied oc-cupied by the Royal Bakery. The consideration is $1,500.00, and it is estimated that it -will require almost another thousand dollars to remodel the building and make it habitable for the company's business. It is proposed pro-posed to entirely remodel the front, making it pleasing and attractive, at-tractive, renew the roof and otherwise improve the exterior of the building. The interior will be divided into two or three rooms, with the public toll station and switchboard switch-board in the front, manager's and directors' office in the center, cen-ter, and a small work shop in the rear. All the rooms will be repapered and painted. For some weeks past the Telephone Tele-phone company has been casting about for a site for a permanent home, but this seemed to be the best proposition offered, and the deal was accordingly closed. This is the property that was sold tSheriJE5fika fafeaggskg. since, and was bid" in by W. P. Hunter, the heaviest creditor. It is from Mr. Hunter that the purchase is made. - It is the intention of the board to havo the building placed in condition as early as possible, and get the offices moved before the severe winter weather sets in, if at all possible. |
