Show EUREKA. . (Special Correspondence.) Mrs. Hugo Deprezin and granddaughter. grand-daughter. Miss Ella Donnelly, returned Tuesday morning from Salt Lake City. Mrs. James P. Driscoll went to Salt Lake Saturday afternoon to be treated for an abcess in the ear. She was accompanied ac-companied by her husband and sister, Mrs. P. J. Donnelly. Mrs. Jackson McChrystal . went to Salt Lake City Monday. Emmett Sullivan is back from the hospital and is slowly recovering his health. f The social party given at I. O. O. F. hall the other evening by the younr ladies of. the B. V. M. Sodality of St. Patrick's church was a splendid social and financial success. There were about 150 people present. A brief programme pro-gramme kept the guests in good spirits until about 10 o'clock, when a palatable palat-able lunch war spread. In the games prizes were awarded as follows: Mik? Brady and Mrs. Frank McHatton, first prizes; Miss Nellie Sullivan and Mr. John Sullivan consolation prizes. The voutig ladies are to be congratulated on the successful manner in which the affair was carried through. The proceeds pro-ceeds will be u?ed in purchasing new books for the library. Hanley. which occurred on Saturday morning. Nov. 28, came as a shock to his many friends and acciuaintances in Utah and I I Montana. The immediate cause of death was miners' consumption and lead poisoning, from which he has been suffering and slowly wasting away for the past six ,months. Mr, Hanley was born in Phoenix, Mich., in 1873, and lived in his native town until six years ago. when he . took the "gold fever" and came. west . in search of the precious metal. Tfrnw six jears were lived principally in Eureka Eu-reka and in Butte. Mont., where his genial spirit made for him many friends, whose sorrow today over his untimely death is deep and sincere. The deceased leaves a young wife and a 3-year-old baby to mourn hi j loss, besides an aged mother, three brothers and two sisters. Michael Hanley of Park City and Dan Hanley of Eureka are brothers, while Mrs. D. C. Harrington and Mrs. G. P. Murphy, both of Eureka, are sisters of the deceased. de-ceased.
