On Tuesday evening of last week there was a joint meeting of the Ladies' La-dies' Catholic Benevolent & Literary society, St. Joseph's guild and the Daughters of Erin at St. Aloysius halL 4 Rev. Father Venns, the newly ordained or-dained priest of this d.iocese, has assumed as-sumed his parish duties. He sang his first high mass at 10:30 o'clock last Sunday morning and preached his first sermon.
