Show TO BE AVOIDED. Mrs. Barr reads a lesson to the silly girls who try to rival men in slang. It remains a fact, she says, that genuine men still prefer the girl of quiet modesties mod-esties 'and delicate speech to the rampant ram-pant new woman who can talk slang as glibly as themselves. They may laugh with such women, but they do not respect them. For all this, men will marry and until further notice they will marry the sweet, old-fashioned woman who will make them a home where slang, and all the indecencies inde-cencies of life, and all its doubtful problems will find no resting place.
