Show EUREKA. ! i Miss Alice Weldon left this week for Salt Lake, where she will take a course in music. Hugh Heffcrnan will leave within the next few days for Los Angeles, where he will spend a few weeks' vacation. J. C. Lvnch came out from Salt Lake on Sunday and spent the day visiting with J. C. Sullivan. Mrs. Leary. a sister-in-law of Mrs. T. M. Holland, and a former resident of Eureka, died at Seattle on the 11th inst. Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hcnsel returned home on Friday night of last week from Denver, where they spent several weeks visiting friends and relatives. ! Mrs. T. D. Sullivan returned on Monday night from Salt Lake, where her children, Miss Mamie and John T., have entered school. M. L. Garrity returned on Sunday from a ten days' sojourn with his family at Salt Lake. Mrs. Garrity's health is improving quite rapidly at the present time. Cashier Jere Driscoll of McCornick & Co.'s bank received a telegram the other day from his brother. James P. Driscoll, stating that the funeral of the late John H. Driscoll, their brother, had been conducted at Han-cook. Han-cook. Mich., on last Sunday afternoon, the burial also taking place in that city. James P. Driscoll. who accompanied accom-panied the remains to Michigan, is expected ex-pected to return home next Sunday or Monday. Eureka Reporter, Sept. 21. |
