All enjoyed her beautiful beauti-ful rendering of the classic piece. The band concert last Sunday for the benefit of the public library was well attended, and the audience enjoyed a musical treat, which all hope will be repeated. All the numbers were generously gen-erously applauded. Rev. Father Butler has announced his mention of having a grand ball on Halloween the proceeds-ef which will be devoted tb defraying the expenses of the new parochial residence, which is rapidly nearing completion. Miss Marguerite Gibbons won in the contest fcr a trip tr. Los Angeles and San Catehne islands, given by the Denver Mining Record. Miss Marguerite Mar-guerite left on Tuesday morning, and will meet the Utah members in the contest at Las Vegas. They all expect a rare good time after their rustling work during the summer Fred Stein will leave "for his vacation vaca-tion to San Francisco and Los Angeles this week. CT George Dugan left last week to enter the university at Reno Goldfield Monday, but returned last evening. Paul Tarpey of the well-known machinery ma-chinery firm of Tarpey Brothers of this city has gone to Salt Lake on a short busmoso trio. |
