Show Personals. A very much appreciated visit to Sacred Sa-cred Heart was that paid last Thursday Thurs-day by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Martin and family of Austin, Tex. After a trip up the beautiful Ogden canyon they spent a most pleasant hour with old friends, and though the delights of the summer were many, the recollections of this hour will not soon pass from the minds of the tourists to the west. Jt A welcome visitor to Ogden was Rev. W. K. Ryan of the Cathedral, Salt Lake, who said mass in the academy chapel Monday morning. A small party of friends of Sacred Heart academy, including some Salt Lake visitors, were entertained at a litt'e informal concert. Those who figured fig-ured consnicuouslv on the nrocrnm were the Misses Loretto and Genevieve Malone and Miss Alice Coltman of Idaho Falls. Last Saturday morning the delights of fancy work were again enjoyed, and it was a happy group of girls, more than forty, who were initiated into the marvels of drawnwork. Before the Christmas holidays roll round wc are sure of seeing lunch cloths, centerpieces center-pieces and dainty handkerchiefs well on the way to completion a delight to the fortunate recipients. The afternoon of the same day saw a yet greater number, perhaps, not quite so fascinated, but equally earn est. stocking in hand, eneleavoring to master the intricate stitches of darning. darn-ing. Xo education is complete that does not teach a woman, above all, the arts pertaining to her sphere. The world acknowledges that the clays of bas blossism are past. |
