Show ! SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. I : r Mrs. Howard S. Stowe, who has spent the past few weeks in Los Angeles An-geles visiting friends, returned last Saturday. Mrs. Martha Royle King will move her studio the first of the month to 48 South Main street. Mrs. Clint B. Leigh and two sons are at Long Beach, Cal., where they will spend the winter. Mrs. Charles Symms of Aatchison, Kan., who has spent the past two months witji friends here, left Monday for her home. Miss Edith Wild of Los Angeles has been the guest of Miss Julia Cullen for the past three days. Miss Wild left Thursday to resume her studies at Wellesley. Ed F. Frcudenthal and William Lloyd of Pioche have been named by the county commissioners of Lincoln county as delegates to the American Mining congress, which is scheduled to hold a session at Joplin. Mo., in November. No-vember. Mrs. Michael Daly and children, will move to this city in a few days from their home in Park City, where Mr. Daly is superintendent of the Silver King mine. Mrs. Emmett Moore and Miss Finne-gan Finne-gan entertained eight tables at 500 Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Moore. Decorations were in asparagus and nasturtiums. Mi to Eudora Daly gave a stall party at the Salt Lake theatre, where the Misses Seima, Alice and Mary Wall were the guests of honor. The two latter lat-ter young ladies left on Friday to reenter re-enter Miss Somer's school in Washington, Washing-ton, D. C. Mrs. Isa-dore Watters and her daughter. daugh-ter. Miss Martha Watters, left the latter lat-ter part of the week for New York to spend a part of the winter with. Dr. Watters. Mrs. P. F. Keogh has returned from a three weeks" trip to Denver. Colorado Colo-rado Springs and Manitou, much improved im-proved in health. One of the largest and most brilliant affairs given here was the musical lawn party Tuesday evening given by Mrs. Elizabeth Bonnemort at her home on East South Temple in honor of Miss Sigrid Pederson, who was married Wednesday evening to B. O. Carl, a business man of Portland. The decorations deco-rations were especially beautiful. A fine musical program was given. Vocal solos were rendered by Mrs. Royal King. Mrs. Edward Moore, Miss Edna Dwyer, Will Sibley and Mr. Rogers, who has just come here from Los Angeles. An-geles. Professor Pederson was the accompanist. ac-companist. About 400 friends enjoyed the evening. ' Don Maguire, the well-known mining man of Ogden. was in 'this city Wednesday Wed-nesday purchasing machinery to send to the mine in the Santa Maria country. coun-try. Mrs. C. J. Collins and the children have returned home from a delightful summer spent at Kalamazoo, Mich. Treasurer A. W. Carlson of the Z. C. M. I. and wife have returned, after a trip of several months in Europe. Mrs. Fred Wilson has returned from a month's stay in Portland. Mrs. Bert Cramer and her mother, Mrs. James Henderson, are at home at 260 First avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Charlton will soon be at home in their new residence, on North Temple and First West. Mrs. D. M. Leonard, her daughter Irene and sister. Miss Goldwaithe, will leave next week for Kansas City and Leavenworth. Mrs. Leonard will remain re-main a month after placing her daughter daugh-ter in college at Liberty. Mo. Xdiss Goldwaithe will remain east indefinitely. Miss Nora Gleason gives a, studio recital re-cital on Saturday of this week, in which ten little students appear. George Deckleman. master mechanic of the N. & N., Ely. was in Salt Lake during the week. He placed his boy at All Hallows college. |
