Dugan recently in henor of Aliss Coral McGinn. The evening eve-ning was spent very pleasantly with games, lunch, etc. Among the little folks present were Stella Sullivan. Belle Sullivan. Josie Alberg, Stella Berlin. Frances Sullivan, Bernice Mangum and Eva Reagan. William C. Elton, one of the best known residents of Mammoth, died at his home in that place Aug. 24 from erysipelas and blood poisoning after a brief illness. The deceased was 42 years of age and until a couple of weeks ago was employed as bookkeeper at J. T. Donahue & Co.'s store. Airs. Dennis Sullivan is visiting in Salt Lake. Airs. T. D. Sullivan is erecting a five-room five-room dwelling house on Leadvilie Row. The building is across the road from Airs. Sullivan's residence. 4 Robert Francis, the infant son of Mr. and Airs. H. AI. Eakin of Eureka died Aug. 24. The body was taken to Salt Lake for burial. 4 Airs. Alary Sullivan received a telegram tele-gram from Butte, Mont., announcing the death of her daupghter. Airs. E. L. Smith. The young woman's death must have been very sudden, as her mother had not been informed that she was ill. Airs. Smith was formerly Aliss Katie Sullivan and is well known here where she made her home until after her marriage. The Eureka Aliners' union has prepared pre-pared a splendid programme for Labor day and the celebration will be one of the best ever witnessed in Eureka. Several hundred dollars w ill be paid out in prizes for the drilling contest, races and children's sports. Aliss Edna Russell, Rus-sell, a prominent young ladv of this city, has been appointed as Goddess ot Labor. 1 - - 1 |
