Show NYA Defense Projects Open jTo Young Women Of Idaho XYA defense projects in Idaho are now being opened to young, women desiring to prepare themselves them-selves for employment in the na, tion's defense industries or to replace re-place workers leaving local con cerns for service in the armed j forces. In accordance with instructions issued by the National Office of Labor Supply and on the approval of the. Idaho Council of State Ad. ministrators, young women in Ida ho, ages 17 to 24. and who are out of school, may now be assigned to defense work projects and centers in several communities throughout the state. i "At Xampa, a special shift in the XYA machine shop is now open to girls and applications for as signmeut are now being received. "We feel very fortunate," Mr, Gartin added, ''that Idaho is able to offer these facilities to young women so that they may take theii place in this country's war effort.
