Show o u Preston Host At Declamation Contest The Preston High Speech department depart-ment will be host at the district declamation festival which is be ing held here on April 3. Miss Agnes Howe, instructor at Preston, Pres-ton, is this year's district presi dent. The contests are open to all class A schools in the district. Dui-ing Dui-ing the day, contests will be con ducted among individual students in poetry, memorized oration, dramatic dra-matic reading, humorous reading, original oratory, essay, and extemporaneous extem-poraneous speaking. In the evening eve-ning of the same day, several plays will be presented for ratings. The schools of Paris, Blackfoot, Bancroft and Malad have indicated they wil participate in the meet. The district has asked that the debate meet be hold in connection with the declamation meet in order or-der to cut expenses and transportation transpor-tation costs. Mrs. Stella Boothe, of this department Is assisting Miss Howe in the arrangements. |
