Mrs. Ada Porter of Ogden was a business visitor here last week. At the regular sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening Elder Raw-lings Raw-lings of the Preston Fifth v.i.a was the speaker. Bishop Taylor announced that fast and testimony meeting will be held next Sunday, immediately after Sunday school, as the following Sunday the bishopric bish-opric is expected to attend the special spe-cial conference convention in Salt Lake City. The Lone Rock of the DUP will meet April 2 at the home of Mrs. Thomas Preston. WESTON Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Deaton, the Misses Eva Rice and Lucile Layton attended the show at Preston Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Preston attended the funeral of Mary Pres-on, Pres-on, wife of Lorin W. Preston, in the Twelfth ward in Ogden last Wednesday. Sheldon Raymond Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nelson has enlisted in the U. S. Navy and will leave within the next two weeks. The Weston ward was fortunate in having Commissioner Franklin West who is in charge of all LDS seminaries as the speaker at the regular sacrament meeting the evening eve-ning of March 11. His special mission mis-sion was the building of a seminary semi-nary on the west side of the present pres-ent location of the Weston high school. The privilege has been granted, a piece of the Geneva Rose Wash property has been purchased pur-chased for the building spot and work has begun.
