A lot of people forget "Safety First." THAT the-congestion of motor traffic in the business sections X 3 of cities makes it necessary that both the jay-walker and jay- !j driver carefully obey the traffic laws. X THAT some jay-walking is done thoughtlessly; some is done .j by people who don't know any better; and some is done X through pure cussedness. t THAT some jay-walkers cut diagonally across the street .j. i without thought of self or motorist; some step in front of" an .. X on-coming car and wake up in a hospital. 1 . . ' X THAT some of them meet with an accident that a lifetime . X cannot repair, while others get killed. 1 ' X THAT jay-drivers are just as bad. Some of them try to . stick in the middle of the street, cut corners and pay no at- . tention to traffic signals. ' ' THAT the world is full of fools but the biggest fools known . are jay-walkers and jay-drivers.
