Show Pay High Tribute To Elizabeth Duffin Impressive funeral services for Elizabeth " Duffin, wife of William Duffin, and who died last week following fol-lowing a lingering illness, were held at the Relief society hall last Friday' afternoon at 2 o'clock. Hundreds of! sorrowing friends gathered to pay the ; last sad respects to the 'departed and' the funeral services were marked with much solemnity. Many selections t were rendered by the choir during the services. Following the invocation! and choir selections Mayor Chris- j " tiansen, Chas. H. Embley and Henry j Bartholomew gave brief addresses, f The life of Mrs. Duffin eulogized and ! her many charitable acts during her life, her cheerful disposition and her , helpulness were highly praised by the ,' speakers. j The floral offerings, the tokens of , love, respect and esteem, were many a,nd beautiful and the casket was cov- j ered with the beautiful emblem of , love. Those from out of town in attend-, ar.ee at the funeral were Leonard . Duffin of Los Angeles, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Lott of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mrs. J. L. Willardsan of Ephraim, Mrs. John Anderson of Sterling, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Bounds of Manti, Harold Har-old Lewis of Salt Lake. Many relatives rel-atives and friends from Axtell, Centerfield, Cen-terfield, Clarion and Fayette were also in attendance. The remains of Mrs. Duffin were laid to their final rest at the Gunnison cemetery. |
