Show ENJOYS ISLAND LIFE. "Some one of the Gunnison Valley News force hasn't forgotten the little old "devil" according to what I received re-ceived today," writes Clarence Fred-rickson Fred-rickson to the News editor. Clarence, as will be remembered, served a short period as office boy at the News office and since his enlistment in the navy he receives the paper every week. He states that he is enjoying the life in i the Hawaiian Islands where he is serving as a private in Battery A, 41st Artillery, being stationed at Ft. Kamehameha, Hawaii. Clarence writes that the scenery on the Islands is most beautiful and adds that the natives are quite queer, but that he is enjoying life to the fullest extent. If it were not for the News, he writes, he would surely get homesick, and says to keep the paper coming regularly, regu-larly, as the news of his home town is devoured eagerly. Clarence wishes the editor to remember him to all his old pals and friends. |
