Show ATTEND MASONIC BANQUET Mayor and Mrs. J. W. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Overfelt, Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hogan and Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Cherry, of Gunnison, attended the banquet at Richfield last Saturday night tendered by Hyrom Lodge No. 12, F. & A. M. to Lodge No. 10 of Mt. Pleasant. The affair was one of the most elaborate ever given in Southern Utah and was attended by 'nearly 150 Masons, their wives and sweathearts and friends. The banquet ban-quet was planned especially for the Masons and their wives from Mt. Pleasant and nearly forty were present pres-ent from the Hub City. The festivities festi-vities started with a plunge in the Monroe Hot springs. Returning to the lodge room cards and music were engaged until nearly midnight. In the contest at cards three prizes were won by Gunnison people. Mrs. J. W. Jones won ladies first prize and Mayor Jones captured the gentlemen's gentle-men's first prize. The ladies' "booby" was won by Mrs. H. W. Cherry. Following cards nearly a 125 sat down to an elaborate banquet. ban-quet. Judge E. E. Hoffman, as toast-master, toast-master, called upon many and the responses were most pleasing. It was nearly one o'clock when the party par-ty adjourned. |
