Mr. and Mrs. Eric Woolsey went to Salt Lake City to get things they need to move into their new home. Ruth Lay, Jan Liston, lone Alvey, Arilla Cowles, Fay Alvey, Laretta Spencer, Mary Manker, Yukon Norman and Varden Woolsey went to Richfield on business. Ardis Christensen and Beth Christensen traveled to Salt Lake City on business and to visit family members there. Mr. and Mrs. James Mclnelley went to Lake Powell for a few days. The cemetery committee had everyone with tillers working at the cemetery to prepare the ground for seeding grass. The senior citizens took their annual trip to the desert. Wendy Woolsey was baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS Church and Ronald Cowles was sustained a deacon in the Sunday LDS meeting. Readers are urged to attend the Burr Trail meeting on Thursday, May 23 at 7 p.m. Sherie Beebe had just returned home from three weeks in Beaver where she helped care for an uncle prior to his death from cancer when she learned of the death of her husband's mother in Circleville. The Beebes, following the funeral in Circleville have as visitors Ron's father, Sherie's mother, their daughter Nancy and her husband Glen Hallows, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayde Beebe. Members of the Escalante LDS Stake held their annual Father and Sons Outing Friday and Saturday at Calf Creek. The wards furnished dinner and breakfast and the activities ac-tivities for the group. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Grififn went to Richfield where son Raymond and daughter Shauna took them to Salt Lake City on a family trip. Hazel also had some medical tests. |
