Show Scholarship Goes to PHS Senior Stephanie Roper, 18, a senior at Panguitch High School has won a scholarship to a college of her choice. Roper chose Dixie College in St. George. She intends to use her 3.3 grade point average and her people-meeting people-meeting ability in . Future Homemakers of America, drill team and drama as a stepping-stone to her career dream of helping and enjoying people as a dental hygienist. Roper intends to pursue her goal at Weber College after two years at Dixie. She said that Weber has a four-year program in her chosen field. Roper, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Roper says that because her father works for the government, she has lived in a number of places in Utah among which are Salem, Fillmore, Richfield, Rich-field, Morgan and Salt Lake City. But, she says, "it's better to grow up in a small town because you get to know people better." Roper hopes that she will gain, "fulfillment and betterment by dealing with people one-on-one. |
