Show Senrieville The baby daughter of the Mike Barkers was blessed by her father and given the name of Nicolette Young. Here visiting them were Karen's parents, Provo, Mr. and Mrs. William Hoskisson. The Mayo Zabriskies were here with daughter Debbie visiting with relatives and friends. They reported that Orla Gae Zabriskie has her picture in the June Ensign in an article on handicapped people. Debbie Quitter is in California for a visit with her father. The Chester Elmers of New York were in town visiting with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Thorley Johnson visited in Cedar City with the Thomas Brough family. They brought Marjorie Ford back home from visiting several days with her daughter Mary Ford. Visiting here with LaRona Callahan and Edith Barker were their mother Golda Mclnelly and their sister Ramona Copfer. On their way here from Salt Lake City they were run off the road by a hit-and-run driver, but their vehicle sustained no damage. The Delano , Callahan's have three grandchildren staying with them, one from Salt Lake City and two from Mexico who are cousins to John Longhurst. The Amon Barnes were in Fountain, Colo., visiting the Shane Barker family. Shane is going to Fort Lee, Va., for two month's schooling. His wife and two children will go to Massachusetts and stay with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Vic Sawyer of Panguitch have moved here and are living in the Minnie Smith home. He is working at the Pink Cliff service station. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Johnson were in St. George for medical appointment. Both their daughter Norma Asay and son Keith Johnson have been visiting. The Gary Johnson family attended a Lifferth and West reunion at Sugar House Park. Sandy's parents came from Montana and her Grandpa West, at age 91, was in attendance. Jed Johnson was exchanged for a week with Gretchen Lif. Mr. and Mrs. West Lifferth of Payson brought Jed home. A budget dinner will be held Friday evening at 6:30 at the town park. The Gary Thompson family went to Salt Lake City to meet their daughter Rachel, who has spent the last six weeks in Holland as an exchange student. Guy Thompson Jr. will spend a week at Boys' State in Ogden. The Sid Goddard's visited overnight with the Layton Smith's. The LDS sacrament meeting program was presented by the family of Wayne Banks of Escalante. Memberships were read for James Choates, Susan Choates, Ammanda Choates, and Page Choates and for Kevin Patterson, Tammy Patterson and Justin Walker. Swimming lessons will begin on June 20 and anyone interested can call Sandy Johnson. Shauna Mortensen and children were here visiting at the Eugene Quilter home. Thora Partner accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hughes to funeral services for Bob Hughes i n Middleton. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Harrison brought her home and visited before returning to Provo. |
